The Executive Director of Consumer Platform is responsible for creating a new consumer platform to accelerate the growth of the firm. Working with the business, Executive Director will advance the firm's consumer experience, commercial excellence, and business capabilities. This position will lead the deployment and management of multiple cross functional consumer technologies including, but not limited to commerce, order management, marketing automation, integration with enterprise applications and analytics.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build a new green-field platform for rapid innovation in the consumer diagnostics market.
  • The technology leader to support the POC execution and successful transition into a full released service.
  • Lead the tool selection and RFP process for a new digital platform.
  • Have clear understanding of Consumer industry trends and drivers, as well as competitive landscape, to inform strategic initiatives across Consumer segments.
  • Lead the execution of a product and engineering team focused on driving specific outcomes.
  • Participate and represent the consumer platform in the Digital Operating Committee.
  • Build and lead consumer platform teams using existing and new resources creating the best-in-class consumer organization.
  • Understand the evolving product mix in the marketplace and identify potential strategic partnerships for competitive product offerings. Drive and provide leadership to define, design innovate and execute POCs that can transition to product products without significant rework.
  • Leveraging HTAS organization, including architecture, data, UX design, and product managers, to build strategic roadmaps, technology solutions and experience that meet/exceed business objectives and goals.
  • Define and evolve a strong level of insight into the Consumer’s core business drivers.
  • Partner with key business stakeholders to design and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that drive the DTC business based on deep understanding of the personal diagnostics consumer.
  • Product lifecycle management from concept to launch of the product(s) across all products/product lines.
  • Work with consumer leadership to utilize voice of Consumer and market research to fully understand opportunities to advance product offerings and market competitiveness.
  • Interfaces across several business areas, acting as visionary to proactively assist in defining the direction for future projects.
  • Responsible for identifying opportunities to improve/solve customer engagement conception of solutions, building consensus, and the selling and execution of such solutions.
  • Distill consumer data and analytics into highly effective campaigns and other deliverables.
  • Arbitrates disagreements among business and HTAS to drive decisions where needed.
  • Evaluates vendor proposals for applicable initiatives/opportunities with respect to conformance and consistency with IT standards.
  • Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
  • Lead, mentor and manage a team of various roles, including recruiting, hiring, and training/on-boarding.
  • Support execution of product roadmap and communicate with C-level staff and other stakeholders.
  • Drive innovative ideas, solutions and products through leadership and decisive action.

Requirements:

  • BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent work experience required.
  • 10+ years of ecommerce work experience.
  • 10+ years consumer-facing solutions.
  • 3+ deployments of Salesforce Commerce Cloud/Marketing Cloud.
  • 3+ integrations of commerce and order management solutions.
  • 5+ years of integration of ecommerce with enterprise solutions.
  • Experience taking consumer facing products to market and iterating quickly to find product-market fit.
  • 8+ years of relevant management/leadership experience.
  • Proven experience in building consumer, cloud-native services.
  • Proven extensive product development, management and governance experience.
  • Comfortably moves between highly varying levels of abstraction from business strategy to IT strategy to high-level technical design to detailed design to implementation.
  • Clearly documents and communicates objectives, requirements, and designs at these different levels of abstraction to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Quickly and reasonably estimates capital, schedule, and human resources costs of proposed solutions. Compares, contrasts, and prioritizes among alternatives approaches while assessing risk both quantitatively and qualitatively.
  • Uses seasoned judgment to suggest approaches that optimize among customer needs, business constraints, and technological realities.
  • Influences and communicates effectively with non-technical audiences including senior business executives and managers.
  • Proven management leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, project management skills, strong written and verbal skills, and organizational skills. Proven ability to drive process with indirect authority to project team members.
