Description

You will support and lead cross-functional teams responsible for delivering and evolving Direct Channels products which consists of Booking Engine, Area Search, and Call Center.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure business as usual management of Direct Channels products
  • Grow and lead a team of top performing product managers
  • Work with cross-functional areas to improve integrations and
  • Lead customer retention efforts
  • Support in the creation and delivery of product investment vision
  • Maintaining and grow the Direct Channels products to maximize revenue and growth
  • Work with the UX team to identify UX/UI patterns and seek to create world class, omni-channel experiences
  • Create product business requirements and definitions
  • Establish product milestones
  • Manage the implementation and evolution of the product development cycle
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring new product features/capabilities to market
  • Maintain strong relationships with a variety of different organizations including the product commercial teams, operational teams, and R&D

Additional Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Roadmap Planning – Direct Channels & Booking:

  • Lead the creation of the Direct Channel products (Booking Engine, Call Center, Area Search) vision & strategy
  • Lead the product/solution/market specific product investment decisions, including requirements prioritization and budget
  • Translate the product strategy into a concrete execution plan/ product roadmap
  • Source and shape priorities from across the organization and target customer
  • Interface with key stakeholders (Sales, Operations, R&D, etc.)
  • Drive customer research and leverage insights to create product features, customer adoption & satisfaction
  • Manages large teams or other Managers; has accountability for the performance and results of

Product Development – Direct Channels Products:

  • Lead product management (product strategy and functional product management) with direct link with R&D, establishing servicing, functional and operational quality standards.
  • Lead the creation and completeness of business requirements for product development and drives adherence of the requirements through the product development process ensuring delivery in line with client and market commitments
  • Leads the balance of business needs with technology assessments, and recommends alternative technical approaches to meet design requirements when needed
  • Controls and coordinates priorities given to products, projects and developments and secures deliveries to meet business targets.
  • Partners with engineering to drive technical projects and provide leadership in an Agile development process, setting scope, and ensuring effective prioritization of features & stories, managing daily progress, and defining acceptance criteria
  • Communicates the product vision to ensure product delivery is aligned with strategy.
  • Runs regular leadership updates and build consensus in Enterprise Platform investment decision making
  • Lead solution design for the segment/subsegment/market, enhancing end to end user experience.
  • Define and capture KPIs to measure the impact of features and capabilities
  • Conduct A/B testing on features/capabilities in order to further optimize the experiences and drive higher conversions

Product Management Organization

  • Lead improvements our product management process and lifecycle
  • Collaborate in the continued innovation of our agile product development process
  • Evangelize product management process and lifecycle with key stakeholders across the organization
  • Recruit, retain, mentor and develop a growing team of product managers

Go To Market Enablement:

Lead cross-functional teams to drive value of delivered product capabilities including:

  • Effective communication of new products/product changes and their associated customer, operational, system, & process impacts,
  • Supporting organization wide product training and enablement, contributing to the articulation of product value propositions, go to market strategy, pricing and impact to messaging for delivering products/services
  • Setting adoption goals and tracking KPIs to ensure we are meeting the adoption goal

Skills:

  • Minimum 8 years experience in Product Management, ecommerce experience required
  • Minimum 8 years experience in leading a product, project or technology initiatives
  • Experience with Central Reservation Systems, PMS, and other distribution Technologies required preferred
  • Experience defining product vision and roadmaps for digital products
  • Experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Rally, and other product and project management tools
  • Hotel reservation product experience preferred
  • Open to remote work, east coast specifically

Salary: $180,000 - $200,000 yr
