CRITICAL -- ABILITIES, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Tech Vision and Strategy: Ability to align technology strategy with the company’s overall vision, particularly with AI, data analytics, and scalable infrastructure, especially in a subscription-based business model.
  2. AI and Data Proficiency: Strong background in AI, machine learning, and big data analytics, which are critical for improving care outcomes, personalization, and operational efficiencies. Practioner, not academic.
  3. Experience with Cloud and Security: Proven experience in building secure, scalable cloud-based platforms with a focus on data protection, given the sensitivity of health data and the need for robust cybersecurity measures.
  4. Product and Engineering Leadership: Strong leadership to build and lead technical teams, with a focus on driving innovation and delivering technical products that align with the business model and market needs.
  5. Regulatory Awareness: A solid understanding of data privacy laws and compliance standards, ensuring technology complies with local and international regulations.
  6. Agility and Scalability Focus: Ability to design and implement systems that are agile, scalable, and adaptable to rapid growth as the startup expands its service offerings or customer base.
  7. Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work closely with other C-level executives, particularly in operations, finance, and innovation, to integrate technology solutions seamlessly into the broader company strategy.

 

HIGHLY BENEFICIAL -- ABILITIES, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Healthcare Industry Expertise: Understanding the healthcare ecosystem, including regulations like HIPAA compliance, healthcare interoperability standards, and the nuances of working with third-party providers.
  2. Experience with Cloud and Security: Proven experience in building secure, scalable cloud-based platforms with a focus on data protection, given the sensitivity of health data and the need for robust cybersecurity measures.
  3. Understanding of Telehealth and Digital Health Platforms: Experience working with or developing telemedicine and other virtual healthcare solutions, to improve patient experience and operational efficiency.
  4. Healthcare Regulatory Awareness: A deep understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and data privacy laws, ensuring technology complies with local and international regulations.
