Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Business Requirements Gathering: Provide detailed business requirements and ensure that they align with business needs. Support technology teams with functional requirements documentation, bridging the gap between technology and the business by adeptly translating business requirements to technical teams and conveying tech specifications to business stakeholders.
  • Business Process Partnership: Partner with business SMEs to deeply interrogate, understand, and document business processes and procedures. Drive teams towards continuous process improvement and thorough documentation of procedures and policies.
  • Data Analytics & Business Intelligence: Extract, interpret, and analyze data to generate actionable business insights. Design and implement BI reports and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and relevancy.
  • KPI Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, define, and track key performance indicators, providing insights based on trends.
  • Management Reporting: Construct and maintain management reports and dashboards to visualize KPIs and other critical metrics.
  • Cultivation of Business Knowledge: Cultivate a culture where business knowledge is sought, shared, and utilized across teams, mentoring peers and colleagues in deepening their expertise in the business domain. Recommend resources and training as necessary.
  • Continuous Learning & Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends in data analytics, BI, and business process management. Identify forward-thinking, data-driven solutions to enhance business operations and guide the team through design and implementation as a pivotal contributor. Lead initiatives for the documentation of procedures and policies.
  • Team Collaboration: Drive teams toward standardization, process improvement, and a unified approach to business & data operations. Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Analytical Leadership & Insights: Capability to guide and mentor teams with robust data insights and business intelligence. Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. Aptitude for making or directing informed decisions.
  • Data-Driven Strategy: Experience in harnessing, refining, and leveraging data analytics and business intelligence to shape and influence operational strategies.
  • Industry Insight: Comprehensive understanding of industry trends, data analytics, business intelligence, and process transformation.
  • Communication Excellence: Ability to convey complex business concepts to diverse audiences, foster collaborations, and navigate various levels of leadership.
  • Autonomy and Initiative: Can produce results autonomously but knows when to seek advice for complex challenges.
  • Relationship Cultivation: Skilled in fostering and maintaining strong, productive professional relationships.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional at planning, time management, and prioritizing.
  • Adaptability: Agile in handling multiple simultaneous tasks with competing priorities and adapting to change swiftly.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Preferred Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business Administration, Information Systems,
  • Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • 10+ years as a Business Analyst, focused on data analytics, business intelligence, and process transformation.
  • Established background in bridging business requirements with technical solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in mentorship, stakeholder management, and team leadership.
  • Proven track record in business process improvements and project delivery.
  • Skilled in data visualization tools (e.g., Domo, Tableau, Power BI) and data analytics platforms (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of business modeling, KPI tracking, and process documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in conveying complex details.
  • Advocacy for continuous learning and team collaboration culture.
  • Certifications in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) are an asset.
  • Experience in benefits administration is favorable.
