12 Month Contract
Hybrid - 3 days/week in-office
USC or GC Preferred
In this role, your key responsibilities will be:
- Designing, engineering, and operating scalable systems in a hybrid cloud environment
- Building and maintaining core infrastructure services (compute, storage, networking, identity)
- Supporting our private cloud platform with a focus on performance, reliability, and observability
- Implementing infrastructure patterns with a focus on security, availability, and disaster recovery
- Developing platform APIs and tooling to improve self-service and automation across the organization
- Contributing to configuration management and infrastructure-as-code using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Puppet
- Collaborating with software, DevSecOps, and SRE teams to architect solutions that meet real-world scale and performance demands
- Monitoring and improving systems performance with metrics and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.)
The ideal candidate will have experience:
- Engineering and supporting Linux and/or Windows systems in large-scale environments
- Building highly available, redundant, and performant infrastructure
- Using Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.) in production environments
- With scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate operational workflows
- Supporting virtualization and containerization platforms (VMware, Kubernetes, etc.)
- With version control and CI/CD tooling (Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)
- Applying observability practices to identify and solve system-level issues quickly
Bonus:
- Experience operating OpenStack or other private cloud platforms
- Knowledge of systems security best practices and secure configurations
- Familiarity with cloud-native patterns, service meshes, or distributed systems
