Description

Role Overview

Seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead delivery of high-impact technology and data initiatives. This role will be instrumental in connecting business needs to technical solutions, driving strategic alignment, and ensuring initiatives are planned, prioritized and executed to the highest standards.

You will work closely with Technology and Data teams, Business Function Leads, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to manage projects from inception through to delivery. You will bring strong expertise in technology and data-driven projects, a solid understanding of data and architecture concepts, and the ability to influence stakeholders across business and technical functions who may not report directly to you.

You will be pragmatic and adaptable, tailoring your approach based on project complexity and business context. Agile project management skills are essential, with Scrum Master experience a strong plus; equally, we are interested in project managers who are hands-on and comfortable engaging across the full delivery lifecycle, from planning and governance through to problem solving with Engineering and Data teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of technology and data projects from initiation through to successful implementation
  • Act as the connective link between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements and delivery plans
  • Apply agile project management practices to plan, prioritize and track work, facilitating ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives where they add value
  • Ensure project delivery is aligned with broader technology and data strategy, highlighting and resolving inconsistencies in approach
  • Build a strong working understanding of data flows, system architecture and technical dependencies, partnering closely with Data and Engineering leadership
  • Identify cross-functional dependencies, capacity constraints and delivery risks, and drive timely resolution through collaboration and escalation
  • Maintain a clear governance and reporting framework across the project lifecycle, ensuring consistent application of best practices
  • Influence and align stakeholders across business and technology functions (including those outside direct reporting lines) to drive decisions and remove blockers
  • Support the ongoing improvement of delivery practices, tooling and ways of working across the organization
  • Manage complex stakeholder relationships with confidence and diplomacy, and proactively orchestrate interlocks with external dependencies so that critical handoffs are anticipated rather than discovered too late

What makes a great candidate?

  • An experienced Project Manager with a strong track record delivering technology and data-focused projects in complex environments
  • Solid understanding of data and architecture concepts — able to engage credibly with Engineering and Data teams on technical trade-offs
  • Demonstrated ability to connect business needs to technical solutions, translating strategy into actionable delivery plans
  • Strong influencing skills, with a proven ability to align stakeholders across business and technical functions without direct authority
  • Practical expertise in agile project management methodologies; Scrum Master certification or hands-on Scrum Master experience is preferred
  • Highly structured and detail-oriented, with a disciplined approach to governance, reporting, and delivery oversight
  • A proactive, hands-on individual comfortable engaging across the full delivery lifecycle, from strategic planning through to day-to-day problem solving
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on clarity, empathy and influence, able to inspire teams and drive positive change

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing technology or data-focused projects, ideally within financial services, hedge funds or alternatives-focused environments.
  • 12+ years of project management experience specially running end to end system implementations and data focused projects
  • Demonstrated experience applying agile project management practices; Scrum Master background a strong plus
  • Strong understanding of data platforms, data architecture or related technical domains.
  • Track record of translating business requirements into successful technical delivery, including experience with cross-functional or matrixed team structures
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and change management skills.
  • Max. file size: 100 MB.
  • Please complete the math question to prove you are human.
