Roles & Responsibilities
- Define the strategic vision and roadmap for the aligned data product, aiming to create a 360-degree view of the domain.
- Partner with Commercial teams to understand their business needs and translate them into data product requirements.
- Own and prioritize the product backlog, making decisions on which data sources to integrate and which features to build next.
- Define and track key metrics to measure the value and impact of the data product on business outcomes.
- Clearly articulate the product vision and requirements to the delivery team, ensuring they understand the commercial context and goals.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communication, providing transparency on the product backlog, release plans, and progress.
- Collaborate with the Solution Architect to ensure product requirements are translated into technically feasible, secure, and scalable designs.
- Lead the acceptance of completed user stories, confirming that the delivered product meets the needs of the commercial business.
Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of product management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum), with experience in backlog management and user story writing.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement, with the ability to translate complex commercial needs into clear, actionable product requirements.
- Knowledge of the data and business processes common to a pharmaceutical Commercial function
- Skilled in value-based prioritization with a deep understanding of how an integrated customer view can drive commercial effectiveness.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively together within cross-functional teams and networks.
- Demonstrated communication skills, within a multi-cultural and multi-lingual global environment.
- Is agile and demonstrates adaptability, comfort with ambiguity, trust-building, and resilience.
- Derives energy from operating in a dynamic, complex, fast-moving, and frequently changing business environment.
- Demonstrable experience with project management, proactive planning, priority setting, and securing alignment.

Education, Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master Degree preferred in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Systems, Data Science or related fields relevant to the designated function.
- 6+ years experience in a product owner, business analyst, or commercial data role with a focus on delivering customer data, CRM, or analytics products.
- 4+ years experience working directly with commercial, marketing, or sales teams in the biopharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
